So, farewell then, five trees

by loiswakeman @ 03/12/2007 - 17:37:35

The five trees shown at the top of the page are now four and a bit. In the very stormy weather last night, the dead one (number four from the left) blew down to a 3m stump, blocking our way to the road. So instead of having fun in blogland, today, I have mostly been picking up wood and having a bonfire. Still, we'll have plenty of firewood for next year...

Almost time for a hot bath to ease the inevitable aches, thank goodness!

A shame, but that's what happens I suppose. Maybe plant another one?

:)

It's always sad to lose a tree like that, especially one of a group. Mind you it's perhaps not quite so bad when it's a dead one as this one was.
It also gave you an unexpected day of exercise in the fresh air!

At least you have the pic of what used to be.. :-(

What a shame... although if the tree had already died I guess it was only a matter of time before it toppled.

That is a shame....we don't have enough trees do we!

Plant another one straight away!
