Hope springs eternal...

... on a beautful warm sunny morning like this after weeks of dreary rain and storms. Although the primroses in the hedgebanks are battered by the wind and rain, I'm sure they will soon perk up again. And that other lovely early spring flower, the wild violet, is in bloom too - Devon violets in Devon!

Yesterday I was pleased to see the first signs of blossom on the blackthorn: from dark twigs to a Japanesque display of perfect white buds and blooms, in only a few days.

Its such a lovely time of year - new beginnings and new hopes. I went to a big local garden centre for lunch yesterday and the greenhouse full of the different coloured Primulas was such a delight to sight and senses.

sounds lovely.... yes Spring is in the air......bit grey here today but have had the lovley springy feeling....

It's certainly been a glorious day today once the rain cleared away early on. I've seen lots of blackthorn blossom, crocus and daffodils whilst out and about.

Weve just had a beautifully sunny spring day and my dwarf daffodils have burst open. It's a great time of year - and tax free!

It's nice to see that you have some flowers. I'd love to see a picture of them. We are expecting 10 inches of snow tonight.

Your every wish is my command! We are expecting a little snow next week too: rather a shock when it's been 13 or 14 degrees C in the sunshine for the last week. The pony's rug will need to come out of storage again too.
